Equipment

The equipment is all commercial radio equipment purchased and owned by the BCFMA (no home-brew or converted military or public service band equipment used anymore), solid state with at least one repeater including battery backup in case of short-term electrical outages. As times have changed with the advent and general availability of cellular phones, we have discontinued phone-patch access. While we have had Echolink set up at one time, recent equipment failures and member support changes have had us cut this service for the time being. If there is significant interest and support to revive Echolink and/or IRLP service, we can possibly implement.
